Chairman Pakistan Tehreek Insaf Imran Khan addressing to a huge crowd in degree college ground Abbottabad.
ABBOTTABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan Sunday claimed that his party would create a new Pakistan by pulling the country out of the clutches of the US and blamed the leadership of the Pakistan People's Party and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz for the prevailing crises in the country.
Addressing a sizeable public gathering at the Government College ground here, Imran said the PTI would do away with the US imposed war on terrorism after coming into power and would never allow the killing of PakistanÃs people.
"Negotiations with tribal elders will ultimately end this war, which benefits our enemies," the PTI chief added. "Our soldiers and innocent citizens are being killed in the so-called war on terrorism and no one knows who will win," he added.
Imran claimed that President Zardari, Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani, Asfandyar Wali Khan, Nawaz Sharif and Maulana Fazlur Rehman had no intention to quit the war since it served their own interests.
He said the country was facing price hikes, unemployment and other challenges but the rulers were busy looting the country. "The PTI has a plan to put the country on the road to progress and prosperity. We will curb corruption and bring corrupt elements to justice," the PTI chief pledged.
Imran pointed out that Turkey enjoyed a respectable position in the comity of nations as it had an honest and dedicated leadership. He regretted that only 1.8 percent of the budget was allocated for the education sector in Pakistan. Amidst applause, the PTI chief assured that his party would give priority to the creation of new provinces after coming into power.
PTI leader Javed Hashmi, in his brief address, vowed to fight against corruption and recover looted money. He criticised Asif Ali Zardari and Nawaz Sharif for plundering national wealth and demanded the return of looted money kept in foreign banks. He also announced his support for the creation of a Hazara province.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi, focusing his criticism on the PPP and PML-N, said the public was looking for dynamic and honest leadership. He bitterly criticised the government for price hikes and asked it to withdraw the recent increase in prices of petroleum products.
Famous singer Ibrar-ul-Haq, who joined the PTI last year and other party leaders including Asad Qaiser, Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob, Dr Azhar Jadoon, Azam Khan Swati, Ali Asghar Khan, Raja Amer Zaman, Asif Zubair Sheikh, Sher Bahadur, Sardar Muhammad Idrees and Waseem Shehzad Khattak also spoke at the rally.
